Connecting to Self

Creating Your Ideal Day

Moving Toward Living a Life that Makes You Feel Whole

“I realized I spoke more passionately about the things that upset me, than the things that brought me peace and happiness. I don’t want to be the kind of person who obsesses over my pain. I am learning how to change the conversation and redirect that energy creatively while acknowledging that pain is important to explore but detrimental to me to fixate on.”

Prompts to Help Connect to Self

What makes you feel the most connected to yourself?

What does connected to yourself feel like for you?

Who makes you feel good about being you?

What are some things that you do that make you forget to check your phone?

What are some things that drain you?

Why do you have a hard time setting boundaries around these things?

What prevents you from feeling connected? How can you remove these barriers?

How can you create space for deep self honesty?

What makes you feel more authentic?

What is a self promise you are willing to make and keep today to help you come back to yourself?

Prompts to Rein in Control

How am I treating myself and my body? What does my inner critic sound like? Who is it? How is it protecting me? How do I make friends with this side of myself? What does it need from me to quiet down or work along side me?

How am I reacting to people and situations? Is what is bothering me about other people actually something that bothers me about myself? Why? How can I change this behavior?

Where am I focusing my time, energy and attention?

Who am I choosing to surround myself with? Why?

What does my screen time look like? How much time am I spending on a device? What are the most frequently used apps? What do you like to use your devices for? How long do I typically spend scrolling/searching/reading etc?

What am I doing with my spare time?

How do I express my thoughts and emotions?
